BanglaChain — Layer 1 Blockchain for Bangladesh
BanglaChain is a sovereign Layer 1 blockchain network built for the people of Bangladesh: a decentralised, secure and transparent system for recording and verifying transactions and data. It keeps an immutable ledger, so participants can settle with one another directly, without an intermediary who has to be trusted — supporting payments, supply-chain tracking and digital identity.
It aims to build an ethical, inclusive digital ecosystem: one that treats financial inclusion and climate adaptation as first-order problems, encourages technological sovereignty, and counters digital colonialism by staying aligned with local culture and the needs of the people it serves.

A central focus of the foundation is to support the secure and sustainable development and adoption of a Layer 1 blockchain in Bangladesh — building the evidence first, then working on the rules that let it be deployed responsibly.

Cutting-edge research on the Layer 1 solution itself, built for the conditions of Bangladesh, and on the ecosystem of applications that runs on top of it. The work identifies and mitigates vulnerabilities, manages emerging threats and explores new opportunities inside the core protocol — keeping the network robust, secure and private at its foundation, so user data is protected and the system earns trust.

Blockchain literacy for every citizen
The foundation is committed to expanding digital literacy throughout Bangladesh, with a particular emphasis on demystifying blockchain and opening the country’s digital transformation to broad public participation. Through BanglaChain Academy we deliver educational programmes, workshops and training sessions covering both fundamental and advanced concepts, their applications, and their impact on society.
The aim is practical: that people understand not only how the technology works, but how it can be used to solve real problems and create new opportunities. Making blockchain literacy accessible and inclusive is how a culture of innovation and informed participation takes hold.
